Routine Face to Face Appointments at Dr A Patel Surgery (16/03/2020)
For the latest information please check our News section for updated details of our appointments procedures.
The NHS in London is very busy due to rising coronavirus infection rates, but we’ll help you get urgent care when you need it.
GPs are providing more appointments, including evenings and weekends, for patients with urgent health needs. Contact your practice, or check their website, and they will tell you how to arrange same-day appointments if you need urgent care.
You can also contact 111, day or night, for other urgent health advice - including if you have concerns about your Covid-19 symptoms.
Please remember that 999 and A&E are for emergencies.
Thank you to Londoners for following the Covid 19 rules, which will help reduce infections, protect the NHS and keep each other safe.
Please be aware that from 16th March 2020 until further notice, all routine face to face appointments have had to be cancelled.
This has been a difficult decision to take but many GP surgeries in England are now implementing similar measures and we also need to take steps to protect our patients.
Telephone or Video consultations will be provided instead. Call reception on 020 8918 0580 to book.
If, during the telephone or video consultation the GP or Nurse feels you need to be seen at surgery, this will be arranged.
If you have a new onset of cough, fever or shortness of breath STAY AT HOME.
See www.111.nhs.uk for the duration of self isolation required for you and those in your household (this can change so check the website regularly).
The NHS 111 website provides information on how to self isolate and what to do if your symptoms worsen.
If you do not have access to the internet you can call 111 for advice.
We are NOT able to provide coronavirus testing. If you have any queries about coronavirus see www.111.nhs.uk
Please do NOT attend the surgery unless you have been requested to do so by our staff.
We hope you will appreciate that these measures are necessary to protect you and your family from infection and would like to thank all of you for your understanding and co-operation.
